Unauthorized use or reproduction of any content on this website is expressly forbidden. All information contained in this site is the sole intellectual property of Lion Life Assurance.org

Quote Expiration

Quotes received from Lion Life Assurance, Inc. will be honored for 30 days from the date on which they are given. A policy will be issued with the quoted premium amount only if an application is submitted and approved within this 30 day period. After a quote's expiry, a customer desiring coverage must receive a new quote in order to apply for coverage.

Uncompleted Application Expiration

Applications not completed within 30 days of the date on which they are begun will expire. Customers seeking coverage after the expiration of an application must submit a new application. Premium rates for a new application are not guaranteed to be the same as those for a previous application.

Currency Conversion

Lion Life provides currency conversions as a convenience to our customers. These conversions serve only as a guideline by which customers can gauge the cost of a policy in their native currencies. These conversions are non-binding, and provide only an approximation of costs in US dollars as represented in those currencies. Customers should bear in mind that the fluctuation in the relative values of currencies will, at times, cause the results of currency conversions to fluctuate in turn.

ALL PREMIUMS AND POLICY FEES ARE COLLECTED IN US DOLLARS.

Fraud Warning

Lion Life Assurance, Inc. reserves the right to cancel, or refuse payment for insurance policies obtained through fraudulent means. It should be noted that such fraudulent policy acquisition may result in loss of all premiums and policy fees. Furthermore, Lion Life will prosecute any individuals seeking to fraudulently obtain, alter, or collect on Lion Life policies to the fullest extent allowed in the controlling jurisdiction.

Health Information Verification

Lion Life Assurance, Inc. reserves the right to verify any and all health information submitted by an applicant in the course of policy acquisition. In verifying this information, Lion Life may, at its discretion, contact any individuals or organizations deemed to be appropriate verifying authorities. Lion Life will only disclose to any parties contacted during the verification process that information deemed absolutely necessary to obtain verification.

Right To Refuse Based On Health Information

Issuance of any policy by Lion Life is contingent on the absence of certain health problems in the applicant. Lion Life Assurance.org may refuse coverage to individuals based on health information submitted by the applicant or based on information discovered during the verification of that health information.

Right To Cancel Based On Erroneous Data

Lion Life may cancel any policy when it is determined that that policy was obtained using data that was entered or processed in error. Depending on the nature of the error, the insured may be entitled to the refund of some premiums and fees. Such refunds will be granted at the discretion of Lion Life.

Use of E-mail address

Lion Life uses a customer's email address primarily as the username for that customer's account. The customer's E-mail address is also used for all correspondence between Lion Life and the account holder. In addition, if the customer has opted to receive promotional E-mail from Lion Life and its affiliates, the customer's E-mail address will be used for that purpose.

A Note on "Junk E-mail / Spam" Filters

Depending on what program or web site you use to send and receive E-mail, you may experience problems receiving messages from Lion Life. In order to ensure that all Lion Life correspondence is received, you should make the appropriate settings to ensure that Lion Life E-mail can be received. This usually entails either relaxing the rules for filtering "Junk E-Mail / Spam", or by adding Lion Life to the list of "trusted" E-mail addresses from which you accept mail.

Protection of Personal Data

Lion Life Assurance.org takes every step possible to protect your privacy and to secure your personal data. There are, however some steps all policy holders should take to prevent unauthorized access to their Lion Life accounts:

  • Never disclose your username and password to anyone, even someone claiming to represent Lion Life. Lion Life personnel will never ask you for this information. Do not respond to any written or electronic correspondence or any telephone calls soliciting either your username or password.
  • Do not store your user name and password on your computer. Doing so makes you more vulnerable in the event that someone gains unauthorized access to your computer. It is recommended that you write your password down and store it in a secret, secure place.
  • Do not leave your computer unattended while logged into the Lion Life website. This is especially important if you are using a public computer to which others have ready access because your session remains active even while you are away from the computer.

Grace Periods

In the event of a late premium payment, Lion Life grants to those policies in good standing a grace period of 30 days from the date due during which payment can be remitted. During this grace period a policy is considered delinquent, but will not be canceled provided payment is received. Failure to pay a premium before the grace period ends, however, will result in the policy lapsing. A lapsed policy provides no coverage, and may or may not be reinstated. The decision to reinstate a lapsed policy rests solely with Lion Life.

Requirements to Continue Coverage

The customer acknowledges that to continue his/her policy beyond the initial thirty day "start-up period", he/she will send us the required documentation upon receipt of the policy package. The customer has been made aware of the prepaid courier packet that will be sent to the home address (not a P.O. box) he/she provides, with a request for a copy of the customer's birth certificate, thumb print, a recent photo, and at least one of four other identifying documents to complete that customer's file and establish "proof of life". When we receive the enclosed prepaid return courier packet at our home ofice the customer will be notified via E-mail.

Policy Fee

The purpose of the Policy Fee is to cover the costs of procurement, processing, and shipment of application and policy materials to and from the customer. The Policy Fee is non-refundable, even in the event that the customer cancels coverage. No portion of the Policy Fee will be refunded under any circumstances.
